How Much Does It Cost To Install A New Outlet?
We have a minimum call-out fee of $200 for all scheduled service appointments. In addition you can expect to pay anywhere from $200 - $1000 or more for the installation of a new wall outlet including parts and labor.
Standard Outlets (Duplex Outlets): The most common type found in homes, these have two plug-in spots and are typically rated for 15 amps.
GFCI Outlets (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter): These are used in areas where water is present, such as bathrooms, kitchens, and outdoors, to prevent electrical shock.
AFCI Outlets (Arc Fault Circuit Interrupter): These prevent electrical fires by breaking the circuit when an electrical arc is detected.
20A Outlets: These are similar to standard outlets but are designed to handle 20 amps for heavier loads. They have a horizontal slot connected to one of the vertical slots.
USB Outlets: These are built-in USB ports along with standard plug-ins, allowing for the direct charging of devices like smartphones and tablets.
Smart Outlets: These can be controlled remotely through a smartphone app or a home automation system, offering convenience and energy-saving opportunities.
Tamper-Resistant Outlets: They have built-in safety shutters to prevent foreign objects from being inserted into the outlet — a great option for households with children.
Twist-Lock Outlets: Used for appliances that require a secure connection, like refrigerators or air conditioners. The prongs twist and lock into place.
Floor Outlets: These are installed in the floor, providing convenient access to power in the middle of rooms where standard wall outlets might not reach.
Surface-Mounted Outlets: These are attached to the surface of the wall, useful in basements or workshops where wiring is run along the surface.
Weather-Resistant Outlets: These are designed for outdoor use and can withstand weather conditions without their performance being affected.
Range Outlets: These are specific for electric ranges and are rated for higher electrical loads, often at 50 amps.
Dryer Outlets: These are specific for electric clothes dryers and are usually rated for 30 amps.
Pop-Up Outlets: These outlets pop up from countertops when needed, and retract when not in use, maintaining a clean aesthetic.
Split Circuit Outlets: These have one half connected to a switch, allowing for control over a lamp or other device without affecting the other outlet.
Was told that we may need an electrician during blizzard like conditions. Cody fit us into his schedule and able to fix what he could! Will definitely be keeping his number handy for future projects we have coming up.
